Christian Aid Coffee Morning 17 May
We will be raising money for Christian Aid with a coffee morning to include home baking and face painting. We will also be accepting the Churches Together Cross which will live with us for the next year.
Feeding (less than) 5000 – Messy Church Big Picnic
At our May Messy Church we told the story of Jesus’ Big Picnic where he fed 5000 people with 5 loaves (we had rolls) and 2 fishes (in our case pilchards). Since the weather was so nice we had our own picnic.
A very successful quiz evening
We were delighted with the success of the quiz evening jointly run with Brookmans Park Rotary Club to raise money for a public access defibrillator for the village. Over 180 people attended and we are confident that we are well on the way to being ready to buy this potentially life-saving piece of equipment.
Mr Noah built an ark: April Messy Church
A great time as usual as Messy Church made animals, arks, doves and rain sticks and the most beautiful rainbow (see the rainbow in the community room today). We also ate the ark (cake, thanks Mary), acted out the story and learned and sang (a lot) our Mr Noah song (thanks to Julia and Rita).
